Refrain:

   Bm       Bm4/A    G6        Am        Em        F#
   Father, mercy! Father, hear me! Why have You gone

       Bm
   from me?

  Bm       Bm4/A     G6       Am          Em           F#
   Broken, humbled, waiting, hopeful, Father, return to me.

   Bm            Em         A
1. Wash me, my Lord, forgive me my sin;

                  Bm        G         F#
   in Your goodness have mercy on me.

   Bm                Em       A
   For I have done evil before You,

              G             Em       F#
   I know, have sinned from day I was born.

2. Teach me Your wisdom, cleanse my heart,
   and I shall be whiter than snow.

3. Sing to me songs, full of gladness and joy,
   and the bones You have broken shall rise.
