You Are Near

Refrain:

   G C9 G D/F#
Yahweh, I know you are near,

            C9 Am7 G-D/F#
   Standing always at my side.

      C9 Bm
You guard me from the foe

          C Am7 Am7/G
And you lead me in ways everlasting.

   G C9 D/F#
1. Lord you have searched my heart

            Em Am Bm
And you know when I sit and when I stand.

        Bm Em
   You hand is upon me

       Am Bm Am7
   Protecting me from death,

         Am/G D/F#
   Keeping me from harm.

2. Where can I run from your love? If I climb to the heavens
you are there. If I climb to the sunrise or sail beyond
the sea. Still, I find you there.

3. You know my heart and its ways You who formed me
before I was born In the secret of darkness
Before I saw the sun in my mother’s womb.

4. Marvelous to me are your works.
How profound are your thoughts my Lord.
Even if I could count them,
The number of the stars, You would still be there.
